PROMARE US Edition Coming to Blu-ray/DVD on May 19


Studio TRIGGER’s hit anime movie, Promare, is finally coming state-side! The release dates for the English version is set for both Streaming and Physical media. According to Crunchyroll, digital demands and streaming will be available on May 5th. The Blu-ray release will follow on May 19 and is available for pre-order now with a host of options available (see below).

The Standard Blu-ray/DVD release will feature both English and Japanese audio options, along with subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. Additional bonus content will also be included: Trailers, interviews with director Hiroyuki Imaishi, a Studio TRIGGER roundtable, and two short films (Side: Galo, Side: Lio). The short films will also feature English audio options.

Soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano Also Available Now

If you’re at all familiar with Sawano’s works, then you know you’re in for a treat! There are three available releases for the Promare Soundtrack. The regular edition can be found on Amazon, while the Limited Edition (on vinyl) is available via cdJapan. There is a remix/re-arrange CD, but it is exclusively Enclosed with the Japanese Promare Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD release, and can be found on cdJapan.

Synopsis

Thirty years has passed since the appearance of the Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves Mad Burnish appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team Burning Rescue, and Lio Fotia, the leader of Mad Burnish begins.
